"Room 5" at Paris Games Week: A Challenging Adventure and Community Fun

The recent Paris Games Week was a thrilling opportunity for us to present “room5” to the public, and the response was incredible. Players dove into the challenge, and we noticed a delightful trend: many chose to play in groups, turning the puzzle-solving experience into a collaborative effort.

However, we also learned that an essential gameplay element was missing: a clear indication for the RESET command. This oversight became apparent as players navigated through the levels, and it’s something we plan to implement promptly.

During the event, we identified a bug with the elevators; they could become stuck if the player wasn’t positioned perfectly. We’re already on the case, working to smooth out these pixel-perfect requirements for a more forgiving and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Looking ahead, we’re considering adding collectible items as a gameplay element. Perhaps gathering a set number could allow players to bypass a room, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.

For those ready for a second run, we’re thinking of upping the ante: adding a timer and replacing the phone scenes with something fresh, now that the storyline is familiar. This could provide an exciting new challenge for repeat players.

Our next steps are clear: we’ll be refactoring and optimizing the game to enhance performance and player experience. “Room 5” is evolving, and we can’t wait to share the next phase of this adventure with you.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you to everyone who joined us at Paris Games Week!
